Know The Truth – The Bible Is The Word Of God
If you were to see footprints in the earth is it reasonable to conclude that someone or something had been there? Is it logical that someone or something made that print? If you have an automobile, is it logical to suppose that someone made it? The Bible says, “For every house is builded by some man; but He that built all things is God.” Hebrews 3:4. See also Romans 1:18-23. Since a house must have a builder, so does our world. A house cannot exist without a builder, neither can the universe. Is there design in nature? Yes! Ducks are designed to swim in water. Chickens are not designed to swim in water. Humans are not designed to live in water but fish are. Is it logical to conclude from the design that we see in nature (the creation) that there is a Designer (Creator)? The Bible says, “And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:14-19; See also Acts 14:15.
The Bible says that God organized the day and the night, the seasons and the years. Is it reasonable to assume that the order of the universe just happened by chance? “While the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22; See also 2 Peter 3:4. The Bible says, “He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, And hangeth the earth upon nothing.” Job 26:7. Job said there was an empty space in the north. He further states that the earth hangs upon nothing. Also Job stated, “Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?” Job 38:16. The book of Job records that there are springs (fresh water) in the midst of the oceans (seas). Did Job say in Job 28:25 that the wind (air) has weight? The Bible tells us in Genesis 6:15, that Noah by the directions of God was told how to design and build a seaworthy ship (30x5x3 ratio).
The Bible tells us that Solomon in Ecclesiastes 1:5-7, knew that all rivers emptied into the sea. Did David say in Psalm 8:8 that the oceans (seas) have natural paths in them? The Bible tells us that the earth had a circle. Isaiah 40:21-22. How could Job, Noah, Solomon, David and Isaiah have known these scientific facts centuries before they were discovered without some kind of divine guidance? Did it just happen by chance? What are the chances of these just being coincidences? Because of the scientific foreknowledge found in the Bible, is there a possibility that God does exist? Is it possible that He is the God of the Bible? In Genesis 1:1 one finds the five fundamentals of science—time, force, action, space and matter. Cf. Acts 14;15-17.
